From a badass book to a badass show (hopefully).

Daisy Jones & The Six – the show, the music, and the book!

Hyped!

Guys! It’s almost time for Daisy Jones & The Six! A few more days of impatiently waiting, but the end is near. On March 3rd, Prime will launch the first 3 episodes. Time to binge-watch them? Yes!

Are you all set? Have you (re)read the book? Listened to the two songs that have already been released over and over? Watched the trailer multiple times? Many of you have, myself included. I am ready to make Daisy Jones & The Six my entire personality in the upcoming weeks. 😉

I can’t wait! The cast looks superb, and the promotion around the series is just chef’s kiss. I do wonder how certain things will be explained, for example… they are called The Six for a reason… because there are 6 band members in the book! However, in the show, there are only 5. While Taylor Jenkins Reid said it will be explained in the show, I’m very curious how?

My theory

I do have a theory, and I think it could work. When the band first got together, they had Chuck. Chuck was deployed and tragically passed away. The explanation I can think of is that they called themselves The Six out of honor! Because Chuck meant a lot to them, and they didn’t want to forget him. I am very curious if I’m right, though, haha. I can’t think of any other explanation, but maybe you might?

But… WHO IS MISSING? Let’s talk about the actors, who plays who? Here they are:

Meet from left to right: Will Harrison as Graham Dunne, Riley Keough as Daisy Jones, Josh Whitehouse as Eddie Roundtree, Sebastian Chacon as Warren Rhodes, Sam Claflin as Billy Dunne, and Suki Waterhouse as Karen Sirko. Source

Do you see who’s missing? It’s Pete! The one that didn’t do the interview in the book but got mentioned pretty often, so I am really curious how they changed that and if we will miss him. What do you guys think? Does my theory sound good, or do you think of something completely different? Please let me know in the comments below!

The Music

Last but certainly not least, let’s talk about the album. I think a lot of fans have dreamed of the music becoming a real thing, and here we are, able to listen to it online, on CD, or even on vinyl! And let me tell you, I am stoked about the LP!

I’ve ordered the limited edition from Urban Outfitters, and I can’t wait for it to arrive. I’m sure it just gives you this extra vibe when listening to their music on vinyl. What about you? Are you going to buy the CD, vinyl, or just listen to it online?

I really hope you enjoy these kinds of blogs because I intend to do this a bit more often. If you have any feedback, do let me know!
